Tamworth Cruising Club

PRESIDENT: THE WORSHIPFUL MAYOR OF TAMWORTH

Headquarters & Slipway

KETTLEBROOK WHARF, TAMWORTH

Based on the Coventry Canal, between bridge 74 and Glascote Locks by road, at the far end of Kettlebrook Road.

Tamworth Cruising Club is situated, not surprisingly, in Tamworth, to the south-east of the town centre and alongside the new A5 route.

We have a mainly local membership, but there are a number of members from neighbouring communities and some from as far away as Manchester and Dunstable in Bedfordshire.

Message from the Commodore - Jane Lees - "If you're passing by boat, drop in and see us!"

Thank You for visiting our web site.

Notices

Please note that access to the club's site from the road is via an electronic card access gate and thus any visit should be by appointment. See Contact Us page for contact details, where you will also find a local map.

Moorings

There is under 1000ft of mooring space, quite small by comparison to some cruising clubs.

The mooring comprise of two distinct sections, the basin and 'A' moorings on the main site with 'B' moorings on the other side of the Derby - Birmingham railway line, up to the bottom lock of the Glascote Lock flight.

We currently have some mooring space available

The shorter your boat, the more likely there may be space

We are able to accommodate a small number of trailable boats on hardstanding and have a slipway for members' use.

Please note: Our moorings are NON-residential and subject to membership. To find out more about this please visit the membership page
